What kind of animal wastes are high in commercial value?

Instead of chemical fertilizer, animal wastes such as fowl, cow and pig droppings are now being preferred by most farmers because they are organic fertilizers. Animal wastes are not good fertilizers when used in their raw form because of the unevenly distributed ingredients.

In some parts of the world, some farmers are using the animal waste as an organic fertilizer by diluting with water. The liquified manure is then sprayed directly to the farmlands, although such forms of organic fertilizer maybe less harmful than chemical, they pose threat to the environment. When the liquified animal manure is absorbed by the soil it also contaminates the underground water.

Ways of processing animal wastes :
To turn animal wastes into more effective compost with even distribution of fertilizer ingredients, it is essential that the manure are fully fermented. It should be noted that, when an incomplete fermented compost is used as it is for cultivation, it might harm the crops.

Efficient fermentation are dependent on three factors :
1) Moisture
For more efficient fermentation the moisture content must be adjusted between 65-70 %.
Example: By mixing with the dried product produced by KOHSHIN machines, rice husk, saw dust , waste from sugar cane and etc.

2) Oxygen Supply
Fermentation is activated by chemical resolution caused by the increase in bacteria. To increase bacteria, a large quantity of oxygen must be supplied. For this reason, accumulated animal wastes must be turned over and mixed while being supplied with the air using a blower.

3) Temperature
To accelerate fermentation, temperature must be controlled properly. As oxygen is supplied and mixing is made, increase in bacteria becomes more active and the temperature of the waste products goes up from 70-800 in the course of fermentation process.

These type of fermentators are equipped with hatchet blades at the tip of the rotary blades and have more number of rotations thus producing uniform products.

Due to the special design of the blades, the wastes are piled up
above the rail forming a dome-like structure. This increases air
contact thus making fermentation and drying more efficient.

The W-type fermentator uses flange running motor that requires
no chain thus reducing oil maintenance. The capacity of a rotary
motor can be adjusted depending on the type and condition of
wastes. It is also equipped with an inverter which helps to
